In this section, you'll learn about 10 different food commodities that are grown, reared or caught. We'll examine how each is produced and explore some different uses for each commodity.
As pupils learn about each commodity, they should think about the 'farm to fork' journey. This includes:
- Growing or rearing
- Harvesting, catching or slaughter
- Production and processing of ingredients
- Where the food products are sold
- Seasonality, food waste and sustainability
